Asymmetrical Controllers: Represented by the Microsoft Xbox controller, the left and right joysticks are arranged in an asymmetrical, staggered pattern (left joystick on top, right joystick on the bottom). This design is ergonomic, allowing the thumb to naturally rest on the joysticks and ABXY buttons, enabling a division of labor between left-hand directional control and right-hand attack, resulting in more efficient control and less fatigue during extended use.

Symmetrical Controllers: Represented by the Sony DualShock/DualSense controller, the two joysticks are symmetrically distributed left and right, and the directional and action buttons are also symmetrically arranged top and bottom. This structure offers visual balance and is suitable for games that require frequent use of both joysticks (such as flight simulators and some action games), but some players have reported that prolonged use may cause hand fatigue.
